I'm Whooped, gonna add some pics.... will edit and tell story later!

Time to pull off the road, don't you think ? Can you believe I drove through this mess? Please god, look over me and keep me safe.

Yes, I parKed it! All by myself... go figure.

This was another horrible day! Look at the mess I was in. Traffic to beat all. I was late to this load but they waited because it wasn't because of me I was late. It was because of the previous load not being unloaded in a timely manner and causing me to be late. The guy was actually waiting for me, I still had the trailer from hell, and it was raining elephants and giraffes. I hate being a solo driver, and am not looking forward to it happening any time soon.

This is the load out of the port of Galveston. I think it was either Pineapples or bananas, I'm really not sure at this point. I was just glad to get the hell out of there.

The Galveston load, which was a port load from the island. It was not a good day for me. I hated it all the way. First of all, I missed mike alot, I had the trailer from hell, and couldn't slide the tandums without someone helping me, or so I thought... I finally found out how to accomplish that task without anyone else's help. Get a vice grip pair of pliars and attach it to the tandum lever so the pins would go in and there you go, instant other set of hands! Yay. A guy in a truck stop was a gentleman and although it was raining, and he in his clean, smart looking outfit (for a trucker) helped a poor alone girl anyway. I ended up giving him the biggest beat hug I could muster for helping me out. I had cried most of this day because good old murphy's law, what can go wrong, will go wrong and boy did it!

Breakfast of champions! Yippee.... Yeah right. Well I guess it's better than cardboard....... WAIT, look at my next dinner.....LOL All you do is add water and voila, instant HOT food.....

I really did get some good photos. What a crazy nut sometimes. This is on the way to Selah, Washington. Beautiful, huh? Sorry I haven't blogged for awhile.... I guess I didn't really think anyone was reading it. Sorry Karl... I'll try to be more punctual! You too Henry, Mike told me you guys read it all the time to keep in touch with us. As you see, I took some pretty awesome pics, but I sure missed my Mike.

I really had some scary times going up north by myself. This is the Blue Mountains, on this side of Cabbage Pass, heading up toward Oregon. It wasn't too bad, but it was awful cold. Where was my Mikey....? Home sick. Boy did I miss him.

Another truck stop alone! It was cold, but I was so tired, all I had to do was hit the bed and I was asleep. I learned from another trucker how to protect myself while being a girl out on the road alone. He told me to seat belt my doors so that if anyone tried to get into a locked door, it would take a little more effort and besides that, I would feel a little more safe while being alone.

This is how it was when I was out by myself, scared, lonely, and nobody to talk to...The first week out alone, I was a basket case! Ate alone, kept to myself, tried not to hit anything, and made sure I got there on time for the deliveries and pick ups. I never knew being a solo driver was so much work! I couldn't get enough sleep, because If I was driving days, then I had to switch it up to make the load delivery on time and if i was driving nights, then I would have to switch it up to have a morning delivery appointment. It was absolutely nuts.

Mike was still with me on this load. This is the Bell Pepper load we delivered in Wisconsin. Everything was ok, until I opened the back doors. Then bell peppers started falling out by the case loads. You saw the picture of Mike before when he didn't look so well, this was the place where I took that awful picture...! He was not feeling well at all. Thank god I didn't get sick as well.

Well, a fellow Californian has been following your blog, too! Best wishes hooking up with Mike again (uh, Mike, I think she missed you if I read correctly between the lines, lol). Stay safe and secure.
C'ya on the Hiways!
