Well here goes... You have all been patient with me and now you get to hear all about it. Everything had been quite boring, up to this point, that is. Mike and I had changed shifts in driving when we got to Mile Marker 1, Beach, Montana on the I-94. It was about 1400 and I went to bed while Mike continued on our trek onward to Idaho. Everything had been going well for this trip until Saturday night (July 19) I believe. I had been asleep for about 5 hours or so (not exactly sure how long) because I lost track of time. I slightly woke to the sound of Mike getting a red light for the weigh scale (it's a sound that you understand if you are a driver) and then I fell back asleep. The next thing I knew, I hear this "bump, or thump", anyway, it was
LOUD. I jump out of the sleeper to ask Mike what happened and he said, "I hit a deer, and I hit it straight on". The next thing I knew, the truck was making the sound
"stop" which means, pull over immediately and stop the engine!

Well, this is what the truck looked like (although it's kinda dark outside) after we pulled over and waited for the tow truck.

Look at the fog light... totally busted!

The support for the fender was totally damaged due to this...

More of the front end damage...

Look, it even damaged the license plate and left fur and blood all over the front of the truck--The truck definately needs a bath, and once we get it out of the shop, it will be going to a truck wash.... BUT WAIT... there's more.... The deer left something for us to remember him or her... by...

These are the intestines or GUTS of the little BAMBI. Now, I can say, "I'm not the only
Bambi Killer... Mike is now one too. Montana, is usually known for having two deer killed a day by drivers... Thats what the tow truck driver said.
