Back on line, after talking with the person at Dell... It seems when we hit a bump and knocked the hard drive loose. Totally fixed and now I can blog again.
The drive to Illinois was very eventful, to say the least. I started out driving in Winnemucca, Nevada while Mike slept. The weather was pretty nasty, so much in fact that when I got into Wells, Nevada, it started snowing--I had never driven in snow before and after I had just had about all I could stand, I finally prayed for God to stop it and sure enough, it subsided. Then all was left was pouring rain.
Now, the funny part. While it was raining, as I looked out my side mirrors, it looked as if my trailer was on fire (get that)... Raining, but the trailer was burning up! I pulled over, went outside to look, and found out that it was just the water splashing up from the road and the color orange (which I thought was fire), was from the reflection of the marker lights on the wet road-talk about feeling like a total dummy!
Now we're in Chicago, waiting for the locksmith to come and cut off the king pin some idiot left on the only empty trailer in the drop yard... There is no SAVING trailers==first come, first served. We will leave the broken king pin lock in the spot where the trailer is and leave a note on it that says, "sucks to be you! You can' t save trailers, ".... Wonder what he/she will think when they read that...? NOT our problem.....
Right now, I need to get to sleep.....
Next load assignment will take us to Bensenville, Illinois (Nestle load) and then we will be dropping off in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
After that one, we will be headed to Lebanon, Tennessee for a (DHL Express) load, going to Kansas City, KS.
Bye for now...
