Hi from Denver, Colorado

Hi everyone! Can you believe we were in Indiana just yesterday? Wow, new meaning to "we really get around", huh...? I didn't see or hit any deer last night and I don't think Mike did either or he would have told me... I'm sure.

We are about 12 hours early (again) for our load which will not be able to be unloaded until 0600 in the morning. I called the customer and they told me that they only unload during the hours of 0300-0900, which definitely leaves us out for the day. This load was a Sara Lee load, delivering to Kings Sooper (yep, that's how they spell it). Because of the delay, not only today and also for the past two days we sat in Chicago, we should be entitled to some layover pay. I called my DM (DRIVER MANAGER) and told him this and he agreed that he would try to get us out of here, to possibly leave this load in the Aurora, Colorado drop yard for a LOCAL driver to pick up and take in tomorrow morning. I just hate it when we sit and so does Mike.

Chris, hope you are reading this and loving every moment... Just think, you and Audra could be drivers when the kids are grown.....hehehe..

Jamey, I'm sure you are reading about things you have seen and done on the road, but it sounds different when somebody else does it. I love your idea about writing a book when we are done driving... Who knows, maybe I'll be famous someday...

I'll add some pics later on, but first I'm starving..... going to grab a bite to eat...

Uncle Pete, it really does seem like a cadillac! Love you all. Mike and Gayle
