What a wonderful Christmas we all had. From the moment we arrived, until the time we will leave, I'm sure. The weather, for most part was good, with only small amount of rain on one of the days we were here. Mom's daughter, Carol Ann, Rickey (her significant other), dad, Mike and I were all together for Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. We spent time walking, going to the flea market (where I found the perfect thing for my best friend, Sue). I couldn't believe I'd found it--it definitely was a GOD thing, and it was the FIRST thing I saw that I wanted... Imagine that.
Mom really outdid herself with the great food she'd cooked (I really couldn't figure out when she prepared all of it since it seemed like she was always with us, either watching t.v., walking, or, working on the house or yard). And dad, what a character he was--a real trooper; helping Mike out with a job that was unfinished, by going to Athens, Georgia to drop the load we had picked up. Although the load had to be delivered at Midnight almost, he trekked right along with his son to be doing my part of the job, making the "arrival call", and being the "right hand man" so to speak. I know he must've been tired, poor guy, but he hung in there and "got the job done".
Finally, we got to see the new boat (I will add some pictures of the boad later), which is named "Patronas". Much more room than the Aladin, their other boat, but all in all, a nice boat. This one isn't a sail boat like Aladin, but a motor boat, which would be easier to drive, I suppose.
Carol Ann and Rickey (mom's daughter and boyfriend) showed up the morning of Christmas Eve and we really had a wonderful time together. We had a great lunch together and we took a walk around the property.
Christmas Day was here! Stockings hanging on the mantle for all of us. As we handed out the stockings one by one, we made sure to get pictures of the wonderful gifts everyone received. You will see the pictures as I have included them with this writing. Our dinner was wonderful (how did she do it? I never really saw her in the kitchen very much).
This was a most wonderful Christmas. I thank God we could all be together. Now for the pictures... Enjoy them all, and please write your comments. Love you all.
