Sparks, NV to Moreno Valley, CA
Well, this is the way we went. Mike started driving and then I took over in Bishop, California. This was a real TIGHT load assignment (DHL always is), and the customer even wrote down the wrong time which took 1/2 hour away from our delivery time. We contacted our after hours DM and explained that they were 1/2 hour later than they said on the paperwork and therefore, it was noted in the file so that we actually had that extra half hour to get the delivery there. We went down the 395 which is really a short cut rather than coming down 80 to I-5, so we actually were able to make up almost two hours in the trip. We arrived one hour before our given appointment time, which was great.
Since we won't be able to get a new load assignment until Salt Lake City time of 7:00 am, we've just decided to sit here at DHL outside of the gates and wait until Travis comes into the office. Mike is trying to sleep with the fan for the inverter humming away... Soon as I finish writing in this blog, I'll shut down the computer which will quiet the fan so my hunny can sleep with no disturbances...until later on... keep on truckin....
